Glee Season premiere and a little preview

It´s all about the Beatles in the first two episodes of the 5th season of Glee. The premiere of the new season begins with Rachel not getting her part in "Funny Girl" but this would really have been too much, right? I mean she just got into NYADA, had a super hot dance and bed partner and the most amazing roommate ever! So anyway we all know Rachel, once she got rejected she is all sad and misses everyone and there comes a beautifully melancholic version of "Yesterday"
Knowing what happened a few months ago to Cory this sets the tone for the episodes to come, but this is only my opinion. So back at McKinley Mr.Shuster tells the Glee club that for the next 2 (!!) weeks they will be in the Beatles zone. Everyone is freaking out with joy, except for Kitty (well she hates everything, so nothing new here). Talking about Kitty....major SPOILER ALERT: she and Artie are dating, first in hiding and later all out in public;)
After a few more songs we see Rachel is now a waitress, wow now AFTER she moved in this ridiculously huge apartment?! Well anyways I liked the outfit, so I think that's fine. Back to school;) Sue is baaack and she is the new principal, not a big surprise for everyone who saw the promos. Mr. Shuster and the new Cheerios coach are sent to Sues office and pretty shure, that one of their jobs is in jeopardy, if not even both. So you can imagine how shocked they are when they learn that both of them will keep their job and they will even have Sues support......well she basically tells them that for her first year she needs to make a good impression and after this time is passed they can look for some new hobbies.
Aaaanyways, of course after last season sort of cliffhanger: Blaine > the ring box> Kurt > proposal?....we learn, that Blaine is still planning on proposing to his boyfriend. He asks the Glee club members to help him and the only one who is actually excited is Sam. Personally I think, Sam doesn´t really get whats happening so he thinks that at least someone should clap;) So the club listens to a mini speech about gay marriage in which Blaine reveals, that he wants to propose in a huge way (don´t get me wrong, but this felt sooo gay.....you know SO over the top>>> still love the gays....don't get me wrong here). He wants help from the rivaling clubs like Vocal Adrenalin, The Warblers, and so on. speaking of help....the junction of the club is shown with a performance of the Beatles classic "Help"
 and I loved it.
So then they squeeze in a little private performance for depressed Tina until the big moment comes: THE PROPOSAL. On the way to his (super secret) surprise Kurt reveals to his dad, that he knows that Blaine will propose to him and that he is not shure what his answer will be. And then Kurts dad does what he does best, he stands by his son and gives him a super sweet speech and basically tells him that he should listen to his heart. Kurt steps out of the car and then this happens:

Sweet? Too over the top? Surprising? Let me know what you think in the comment section:)

And now I wanted to share the preview that executive producer Ryan Murphy posted on Twitter about the 3rd episode of the season, called "The quarterback":

(source: Tumblr)

As most of you know this episode will deal with Finns/ Coreys death with a tribute from the beginning until the end. I don´t know what exactly will happen and how Finns storyline will end, but one thing I know is that as a Glee fan it will be very hard to watch. I love the peaceful feel the promo pic transports and how simple but yet meaningful it is. It´s still hard to wrap my head around that Corey is really gone and the way he left this world was just devastating, so knowing Glee I know that they will probably attack the theme (drugs, overdose,...) head-on. So everyone should make shure that they get their tissues ready for episode 3 and prepare for a heartfelt "Goodbye" to our beloved Finn/Cory.
Will you be watching the farewell episode? If you watch, how do you guys think they will be dealing with the issue of Corys dead?

Let me know what you think! Let´s talk tv!

xoxo Nici

  1. I LOVED LOVED LOVED the proposal, especially Blaine's "speech"... I think it was super cute!!! Well, a little over the top maybe, maybe even a little "too gay" but that's just how it is with Glee... ;-)

As for the tribute episode... I didn't know that! I didn't know it would come so soon in the season... I'm honestly a little scared... I will definately watch it and I'm not one to cry easily but when it comes to the combination of music and an emotional scene that's connected to the song - I'm done!!! So I will need those tissues!!!

    Xo, Nina
