The Originals - "Bloodletting" (1x07)
Finally I come around to another "The Originals" post.....and let me tell you I really love this show! The characters are so versatile and I love how we on one hand get to know the Original family and on the other hand learn about this new life with new challenges in New Orleans.
This weeks episode is titled "Bloodletting" and let me tell you it lives up to it´s name. Right in the beginning of the episode a familiar face greets us: Tyler Lockwood! For everyone, who watches "The Vampire Diaries" this should not have been a big surprise, because after leaving his girlfriend; Caroline, we already knew that he would be hunting down Klaus now. Which makes me hate him even more;) So when we see him driving around with Haley in the trunk of his car the first thing that I asked myself was: "Wait a second, when in the last episode Marcel was the last one to see Haley, is Tyler then working with Marcel now?!".....we will get an answer to that question a little later. He takes the pregnant "wolf girl" to a cabin in Louisiana, where how it turns out Haleys family/tribe, whatever lives or lets better say hides.
Meanwhile in New Orleans daddy to be Klaus and Elijah, who clearly is developing feelings for Haley are looking for the pregnant girl. They visit Marcels fight night and demand to be told where she is, otherwise they will kill everyone, including Marcel. How bada*** :)
After Marcel gives his permission to let a witch do a locater spell on Haley they find out where she is and the brothers go on a little road trip. When they arrive in Louisiana they find Tylers car and Klaus can put two and two together, yet Elijah needs some more information. So his brother has to tell him, how he turned Tyler into a hybrid and made his life a living hell ever since he broke the sire-bond.
So lets see how Haley is doing in her little cozy cabin: not that good. Tyler actually did a total 360 and has become this dark, revenge full character that has put his whole life focus on killing Klaus. Ugh I have to tell you guys, when he was on TVD I really like Tyler as a character: The popular kid that turns out to be a werewolf that later is falling in love with a vampire?! Loved it! But ever since season 5 started I couldn´t give a rats a** about Tyler anymore. How can he just leave Caroline after she fought so hard to get him back? I just can´t you guys.....
Well back to the cabin: Tyler seems to know something about this baby that we (oh and by the way also Haley) don´t know yet......the hybrid babies blood can turn werewolfs (and I assume also vampires) into hybrids!! Something that Klaus seems to be very aware of, according to Tyler. To prove his theory he rams a syringe into Haleys stomach and gets the babies blood, this he injects into his werewolf friends system and then kills him. When he wakes up it turns out the whole thing actually worked!! He´s a hybrid!
So a little while later Elijah and his brother find Haley and Klaus runs of, looking for Tyler. And there it comes, the best part of the entire episode: The stand off we all have been waiting for until season 4 of The Vampire Diaries!! Of course the Caroline theme came up:
And as a member of #TeamKlaus is loved the fact, that HE brought her up first! I think secretly he is celebrating the fact that those two broke up;) The enemies share a few nasty words and then it all unravels:
And this is just a sneak peek ;) It was priceless to see that whole thing go down!!
And who walked away from it as the winner you ask?! Klaus of course! ;) Before almost ripping Tylers heart out he gives him his two cents:
LOVE LOVE LOOOOVE that scene!!
After that sank into Tylers brain Klaus compells him to leave and to live the rest of his live knowing that he is nothing.Ouch!!
One could think that Klaus as the winner of this mini battle should be happy now, right? But it seems that ,after he meets with Elijah and Haley, he´s kind of on the edge. And after his brother says some things, that the hybrid does not like to hear, he bites Elijah!
Wow...every time that Klaus was angry at his siblings before, he killed them by staking them and putting them in their coffins, but this is a whole new level of crazy! Poor Elijah!! I just hope he will be okay in next weeks episode...
We haven´t heard from Rebekah in a while, right? Well the last episode she was about to leave New Orleans, but after getting a call, that Haley is missing, she returns and tries to find out what Marcel is up to. First I was very sceptical about Marcels intentions...but in the episode he first shows his former flame his little "vampire garden" (creeeepy) and then gets a piece of paper and reveals to her that he planned their dream mansion where they could live happily ever after....hmmm I still don´t trust him. It seems like those two now will team up against Klausi.....I wonder how far this will go :/
Okay that pretty much was it. Next week we have to see how Elijah is doing and what Rebbecah and Marcels plans are.

The Originals Pilot S1E1
Welcome to New Orleans guys! We are invited to join the originals as they come back to the wild and mysterious city.....
And it the show starts off with something that I´m shure we have not seen for the last time: a flashback.
It shows how they ended up in this beautiful city 300 years ago and how there first encounter with the locals went....well lets say, bloody;)
I loved how those first scenes where shimmed by an Elijah voiceover. He talks about the value and powe of family and how they stay together: Always and forever! Yet, another One Tree Hill controversy here but okay;) So the story is basically the same as in the TVD crossover episode a few months back...so Klaus coming to New Orleans to find the witch, who is conspiring against him. She gets killed by crazy Klaus friend Marcel and the big bad hybrid finds out he´s gonna be a daddy;)
But we get a little more intel in the witch business and learn why and how Elijah wants his family and the soon to be new member(s) (Haley and the baby) to work out a way to work together to get rid of Marcel.
Speaking of: We get a few bad a** Marcel scenes and even get to know his secret weapon.....a young witch who can sence if other witches are using magic. Something tells me that this is not the only power she has. Also I´m not shure if it´s fear or sexual tension when she and Marcel are together;)
Back to Elijah and Haley: He really tries to help this girl and even shows her (with his powers that come with being an awesome original) his families history and how Klaus turned out to be a hybrit. Towards the end of the episode him and his brother get into a huge "fist fight"....holy malony I would love to see some more of that:)
When at the end of the episode they move back into a house where they have lived before it seems like the brothers are okay again. Well for everyone who thought that: YOU ARE VERY WRONG! Klaus stakes Elijah and tells him that "he has to win this war on his own!". Awww Klaus come on....if it werent for Elijah Marcel might have already found a witch to kill you or whatever and you just go ahead and kill the only person, who really wants to help you build a new life in this town.
Well he cant stay "dead" forever right, so lets see how things will be when he´ll be back.
This was a very brief recap of the pilot, next week will probably be a little longer;)
