"State vs. Queen" (S2E7)

Okay people, before I´m off reading some Hamlet in preparation for my Bachelor thesis I felt the urge to let you know what I thought of the latest "Arrow" episode (plus, there where some personal requests;) ).

Episode 7 is called "State v. Queen" and for everyone who watched the second season from the beginning, it´s crystal clear: The murder trial against Olivers mum is coming up! And it is as dramatic as you can imagine. It was so hard to see Laurel as the attorney for the state working AGAINST Mrs. McQueen, it just broke my heart and I was asking myself how she got to this place?!
Well as you can imagine, in a place like Starling City the trial is not the only thing that keeps Oli busy: We learn, that "The Count" (you know, that Vertigo drug dealer from last season who almost OD´d??!!) escaped the prison the night of the earthquake and now he´s loose and spreading a disease around the city. It creates a fake Vertigo withdrawal and John is one of the first people who gets infected....
We soon find out, that the only way to "cure" it is to use Vertigo and as you can imagine, for Oliver and his friends it´s not really an option.
After Count kidnaps Felicity the elephant in the room runs off.....of course he wants revenge on "Arrow" for locking him up, but it´s not that easy. After a mini-fight and "The Count" aka. "Vertigo" threatening to inject the disease into Felicities system Oliver does the one thing he swore himself to never do again: He puts 3 arrows into the villains chest and kills him! I was shocked although you knew that he did not really had any other option. Felicity is in shock too and the two share one of these beautiful Olicity moments and my heart skipped a beat:

Okay after all this action, let´s get back to the trial......Laurel really goes all out and even brings up Moiras affair with Malcom Merlyn. WOW! So all in all it looks more than bad for Oli´s mum and just as you prepare for the worst, she is a free woman. Yes people, you red right: She is found "not guilty" on all counts!! How´s that possible you ask? Well let me tell you what bombshell awaited us in the last 15 seconds of the episode. You remember Moiras affair, Malcom? You know that guy that was responsible for the earthquake, Tommy´s death and all the pain that came with it.....yeah he´s ALIVE!! And if this is not kicking you out of your seats, he seems to be Theas dad (how creepy would that be?!May I remind you that Thea had a brief crush on Tommy last season...ugh)!!!

Okay I see you have to calm down after this twist, so let me describe to you my favourite scene of last nights episode: Oliver comes back from court to check on his friends John and Felicity. After John leaves to go home and rest Felicity thanks Oli for saving her and tells him that she knows how difficult the whole situation must have been for him. Oliver answers:

Oh my god, my little Olicity fan heart almost busted out of my check and I was lying on the floor curled up in a fetus like position when this happened:

Gahh I can´t, I just can´t I´ve been waiting for this for so long.....man I´m nuts ;)
Well back to semi reality.....next weeks promo promises the reveal of one of the biggest characters in the comic world: The Flash
Here is the promo for everyone to enjoy....it looks so good!

Okay people, what did you think of the episode? Did you see the reveals coming? And what do you think will happen next week?

Let´s hear it! Let´s talk tv!

Oli is back! - Arrow S2E1

It´s been too long since we seen Oliver McQueen in all his glory...so it´s about time to see him back in action. And let me tell you: In the season 2 premiere we get a lot of it!
So the first question to be answered is what happened to Oliver and his friends after most of Starling City was destroyed? Well, his mom is in prison, his sister is now a bar owner (yeah yeah, too young to drink, but old enough to own a bar...welcome to America;) ), Laurel stepped up and is now the district attorney (at least if I remember it right) and Felicity and John are looking for Oliver. Yes you red correctly, Oliver seems to have vanished. Where to?! Oh, only the island that made him into the vigilante, where else?;)
So anyways Felicity and her parnter are on their way to bring him back and right there, in the first few minutes I realized what I missed most: Felicities funny, sarcastic lines;)

or:

And my favourite from last night:

Apparently Starling City really needs their "Hood" back, duh of course they do! So after a little argument Oliver returns home, not only to help his city, but more importantly to help his family! Back home Oli also runs into Laurel, which is sitll kind of awkward because after they had sex, they never really talked about what that thing is that they have going on. I think Oliver being gone for so long does not really help. Considering, that both of them are still not completely over Tommy´s death they decide that they will just be friends for now, well lets see how long this will hold up:) Personally at the beginning of this season I think the nerdy chemistry between Felicity and Oliver is way hotter anyway;)
As expected Oliver saves his city once more and is the hero he wants to be....well he´s on his way. He decided that he wants to try to not kill every bad person, but to only "hand" them to the police if he can. That´s a thing a (super)hero would do.
Oh by the way there is a new kind of rival in town: Isabel! She is the vice president of Stellmoor International and from the looks of it it´s not the last time that she will get into Olis face!

On another note: Prepare for a LOT of hot scenes between Thea and Roy since their romance heated up again! Roy still seems to be on a mission to safe the Glates and if you ask me he´s doing an amazing job...well he got help from a new friend/enemie.....not shure yet, who she is:

At the end of the episode Oliver more or less reveals to us his new name......actually he just lets us know that he doesn´t want to be called "The Hood" or "Vigilante" anymore. When he is asked what else they should call him, he just stares at his arrow and then this comes up:

Ohhh yes it finally happened, our hero has a new name :)
On another note: Is there anybody else out there who ships Oli and Felicity as much as I do? I mean have you seen the nerdy girl in the season 2 premiere.....there must be a reason for her kind of wallflower turned beautiful swan makeover! And is it just me or is there a little flirting going on coming from Oli´s side? It was never a real secret that Felicity realy liked him.....so I hope for some nerdy love making ;) :)

Plus: Who of you can´t wait until Oliver finally makes Roy his sidekick?! I mean come on this guy really tries to make an effort and he can handle some guns ( and no ladies I´m not only talking about his musckles;) )!!

Alright, enough with the Gifs.....although I could go on all day, because they are SO good ;)
Let´s hear it people, how did you like the season 2 premiere of Arrow?

Let´s talk tv!
